Judith is a driven, creative and representative person, with an extensive education in both medical practice and medical science as well as in medical writing/publishing.  She strives to apply my organizational, scientific, creative and leadership skills in a different working environment than daily medical practice – with much enthusiasm and confidence.

Judith completed her medical training in 2003, after which she worked on her PhD-research studies. In 2007 she defended her PhD-thesis “Parameters of small airway function and inflammation” at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. She briefly started training as a chest physician but switched to general practice. After working as a GP in Heemstede, the Netherlands, and combining this with being a (scientific) lecturer and trainer at the Amsterdam Medical Center GP specialty training, she left clinical practice in 2016. She gained experience in operational and strategic business planning as a medical scientific expert within the Respiratory field at GSK and decided that her heart was with creating content, and tailoring medical information to different target audiences. Her scientific and clinical experience, combined with her experience in Pharma led her to yet another career switch, and brought her on the path of the medical publishing world. She completed a science journalism training at SCW Wetenschapsjournalistiek in the Netherlands in 2019.

With regards to her extensive and diverse education, Judith is a true healthcare and medical-scientific communications expert. Her projects vary from writing scientific publications, to more commercial content such as advertorials or white papers, for different target audiences, varying from general public (patients) tot key expert level. Furthermore, she acts as a presenter or moderator for scientific symposia and congresses, putting her broad medical knowledge and strong communication skills to use.
